The Trustees present their annu81 report together with the financial statements of the charity for the S April 2024

. ACTIVITIES FOR ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES
The Trust Deed empowers the Trustees to invest in assets 8s they sh811 in their absolute discretion think fit and
lo apply resources for such charitable purposes as they may in their discretion determine.
. REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES
The grants expended for the year totaled £122,700 enabling a total of 35 different institutions and individuals to
benefit from the Trustees, distributions.
b. INVESTMENT POLICY AND PERFORMANCE
The Trustees shall have the same full and unrestricted powers of investing 8s if they were benefici811y entitled.
The investments are managed by stockbrokers Raymond James Invstment Services Limited, and comply with
the provisions of the Declaration of Trust.
Investments sold in the year resulted in realised gainslllossesl of £383,957 {2024." £210,022). The value of the
portfolio increasedlldecreasedl during the year by 1£572,6741 (2024." (£31,497)). Al the end of the year the
Investments had a value of £3,385,742 (2024. £3,958,416).
The Trustees consider this is sufficient to continue giving the qu81ity of support to future recipients, as had been
reeognised from the Irusl's inception
Hillier Hopkins have produced the reports and financial statements made up lo 5 April 2025. They show net
resources incomellexpendedl of1£20,4761 {2024." (£562)) before investment gains and losses.
a. GOING CONCERN
After making appropriate enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate
resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt
the going concern basis in preparing thè financial stalemenls. Further details ￿gardIng the adoption of the going
coneem basis can be found in the Accounting Policies.
. ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE AND DECISION MAKING
The Elaine and Angus Lloyd Charitable Trust was founded by Deed of Trust dated g June 1984 and amended on
19 October 1992 with the present name being adopted from 6 April 1993. The Trust is a registered charity,
number 237250, at 7 Barrett Road, Fetcham, Lealherhead, Surrey, KT22 gHL.
The Trustees meet on a regular basis lo discuss how best in their opinion the available reSoU￿S should be
applied. Al trustee meetings, the Iruslees ag￿e the board strategy and areas of activity for the Charity, including
consideration of donations, investment, reserves, and risk management policies and performanee. Grants in
practice are made to those charities or for such Charitable purposes known to one or more of the Trustees.

b. RISK MANAGEMENT
The charity Trustees have considered the major risks lo which the charity is exposed and have reviewed those
risks and estsblished systems and procedures to manage those risks. The trustees consider the variability of
investment returns on the investments to eonslitule the charity's major risk and continue to keep the investment
portfolio under ￿vIeW.

It is the intention of the Trustees lo continue to distribute the major part of its income.
TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustèes, Report and the financi81 statements in accordance with
8pplic8ble law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards Iunited Kingdom Generally Ac￿pIed Accounting
Practice).
The law applicable to charities in England & Wales requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for
each financial year which give 8 true and fair view of the stale of affairs of the charity and of the incoming
resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial slatemenls, the
Trustees are oquired to.
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently",
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP",
make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in operation.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the
charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any lime the financial position of the charity and
enable them to ensure that the financial slalements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts
and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding
the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and
other irregularities.
The Trustees are responsible for the Maintenance and integrity of the charity and financial information included
on the charity's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom goveming the preparation and dissemination of
financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

I report to the charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended S April 2025.
This report is made solely to the charity's Trustees, 8S 8 k)ody, in accordance with Part 4 of the Charities
IAccountS and Reports) Regulations 2008. My work has been undertaken so that I might stale to the charity's
Trustees those mallers l am required lo slate to them in an Independent Examinerfs Report and for no other
purpose. To the fullest extent pèrmitted bylaw, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the
charity and the charity's Trustees as a body, for my work or for this report.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND BASIS OF REPORT
As the Trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in 8ccord8nce with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'the 2011 ACVI.
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and
in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Basis of preparation of financial Statements
The financial statements have ￿en prepared to give a 'true and f8irf view and have departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Reportsl Regulations 2008 only lo the extent required to provide a 'true
and fairf view. This departure has involved following the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published on 16
July 2014 fftther than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities. Statement of Recommended
Praeb'ce effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items
recognised al cost or transaction v81ue unless othetwise staled in the relev8nl notes to these
accounts. The financial statements have ￿en prepared in accordance with the Statement of
Recommended Practice". Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 issued on 1 S July 2014 and Financi81 Reporb'ng S18ndard applicable in the United Kingdom and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 10218nd Charities Act 2011.
The Elaine & Angus Lloyd Charitable Trust constitutes a public benefit entity 8s defined by FRS 102.
1.2 Fund accounting
General funds are unrestricted funds which are 8V8i18ble for use at the dist￿tIOn of the Trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
1.3 Expenditure
Expenditure is reeognised On￿ there is 8 legal or constructive obligation lo transfer economic
benefit 10 8 third party, it is probable that 8 transfer of economic benefits will be required in
settlement, and the amount of the obligation e8n be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by
activity. The costs of each 8ctivily are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs,
including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs 8ttribulable 10 8 single
activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity
and support costs which are not attributable to a single activity are apportioned between those
activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the
basis of lime spent, and dèpreciation Charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Support costs are those costs incurred directly in support of expenditure on the objects of the charity
and include project management Carried out al the Charity's principal office.Govern8nce costs a
those incurred in connection with administration of the charity and eomplianee with constitutional and
statutory requirements.
Costs of generating funds are costs incurred in attmcting voluntary income, and those incurred in
trading activities that raise funds.
Charitable activities and governance eosts are costs incurred on the charitls educational
operations, including SUPFX)rt costs and Costs relating to the governance of the charity apportioned lo
charitable activities.
Gmnls payable are charged in the year when the offer is made except in those cases where the
offer is conditional, such grants being recognised as expenditure when the conditions allaching a
fulfilled. Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end are noted as a
commitment, bul not accrued as expenditure.

1.4 Donations
Donations received for the general purposes of the Charitable Trust are Irealed as unrestricted
funds. Al the b81ance sheet there were no restricted funds.
1.5 Cash flow statement
The Charitable Trust is entitled lo the exemption from the requirement to prepare 8 Cash flow
statement on the grounds that il is a small charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 and
the Regulations.
1.6 Investments
Fixed asset investments are a form of financial instrument and are initialty recognised al their
transaction cost and subsequently measured at fair value al the Balance Sheet dale, unless fair
value cannot be measured reliabily, in which case il is measured at cost lèss impairment. Investment
gains and losses, whether realised or unrealised, are combined and shown in the heading
'g8inslllossesl on investments, in the Statement of Financi81 Activities.
1.7 Interest receivable
Interest on funds held on deposit is included when ￿te1Vable and the amount Can be measured
reliably by the charity, this is normally upon notification of the interest Paid or payable by the Bank.
1.8 Cash at Bank and in hand
Cash at bank and in hand includes cash and short term highly liquid investments with a short
maturity of three months or less from the date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account.
1.9 Liabilities and provisions
Liabilities are recognised when," there is an obligation at the B81anee Sheet dale as a result of 8 past
event, il is probable that 8 transfer of economic benefit will be required in selllemenl, and the
amount of the sèttlement ean be estimated ￿lIablY. Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the
charity anticipates il will pay lo sellle the debt, or the amount it has received as advaneed payments
for the goods or services it musl provide. Provisions are measured al the best estimate of the
amounts required lo settle the obligation. Where the effect of the lime value of money is material,
the provision is based on the present value of those amounts, discounted at the pre-tax discount
rale that reflects the risks specific lo the liability. The unwinding of the discount is recognised within
interest payable and similar charges.

out in chapter 1 of part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.

4 We have fulfilled our responsibilities as directors I trustees as set out in the terms of your
engagement letter, under the Companies Act for preparing financial statements in accordan￿ with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally AC￿pIed
Accounting Practi￿1, for being satisfied that they give a true and fair view and for making accurate
representations lo you.
5 All the transactions undertaken by the charitable company have been properly reflected and
recorded In the accounting records.
6 All the accounting records have been made available lo you for the purpose of your independent
examination. We have provided you with unreslricled access to all appropriate persons within the
charitsble company, and with all other records and related infomialion requested, including
minutes of all management and trustee meetings and correspondence with The Charity
Commission.
7 The financial statements are free of material misstatements, including omissions.
8 The effects of uncorrected misstatements las sel out in the appendix to this letter) are immaterial
both individually and in total.
Internal control and fraud
9 We acknowledge our responsibility for the design, implementation and maintenance of intemal
control systems lo prevent and delect fraud and error. We have disclosed to you the results of our
risk assessment that the financial statements may be misstated as a result of fraud.
10 We have disclosed to you all instances of known or suspected fraud affecting the enlily involving
management, employees who have a significant role in internal control or others that could have a
material effect on the financial statements.
11 We have also disclosed lo you all infomialion in relation to allegations of fraud or suspected fraud
affeding the entity's financial statements communicated by current or former employees, analysts,
regulators or others.

Assets and liabilities
12 The charitable company has satisfactory title to all assets and there are no liens or encumbrances
on the charitable company's assets, ex￿pt for those that are disclosed in the notes lo the
financial statements.
13 All actual liabilities, contingent liabilities and guarantees given lo third parties have been recorded
or disclosed as appropriate.
14 We have no plans or intentions that may materially aller the carrying value and where relevant the
fair value measurements or classification of assets and liabilities reflected in the financial
stalemenls.
Accounting estimates
15 Significant assumptions used by us in making accounting estimates, including those measured at
fair value, are reasonable.
Loans and arrangements
16 The charitable company has not granted any advances or credits to, or made gu8ranlees on
behalf of, directors other than those disclosed in the financial statements.
Legal claims
17 We have disclosed to you all claims In connection with liligalion that have been, or are expected to
be, received and such matters, as appropriate, have been properly accounted for, and disclose
in, the financial statements.
Lavts and regulations
18 We have disclosed lo you all known instances of non-compliance or suspected non-complian
with laws and regulations whose effects should be considered when preparing the financial
stalemenls.
Related partigs
19 Related party relationships and transactions have been appropriately accounted for and disclosed
in the financial statements. We have disclosed to you all relevant information concerning such
relationships and transactions and are not aware of any other matters which require disclosure in
order to comply with legislative and accounting sl8nd8rds requirements.
Subsequent events
20 All events subsequent to the dale of the financial statements which require adjustment or
disclosure have been properly accounted for and disclosed.
Going concern
21 We believe that the charitable company's financial statements should be prepared on a going
concem basis on the grounds that current and future sources of funding or support will be more
than adequate for the charitable company's needs. We have considered a period of twelve months
from the date of approval of the financial statements. We believe that no further disclosures
relating lo the charitable company's ability to continue as a going concern need to be made in the
financial statements.
Grants and donations
22 All grants, donations and other income, the receipt of which is subject to specific terms or
conditions, have been notified lo you. There have been no breaches of terms or conditions in the
application of such income.
