**Objects:** A) THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO NATURAL HISTORY INCLUDING GEOLOGY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE BRISTOL DISTRICT AND B) THE PROMOTION OF THE CONSERVATION OF THE BRITISH FAUNA AND FLORA AND THE PROTECTION OF GEOLOGICAL AND PHYSIOGRAPHICAL SITES.

**Activities:** Organises walks and talks, carries out surveys and research into the natural history of the region, publishes two journals annually, the Avon Bird Report, and Nature in Avon, supports other conservation activity in the region.
