THE RICHARD FOSTER BOLITHO ALMSHOUSE TRUST
We report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31" December 2022, which
are set out on the attached pages.
Respective Responyibilities of Trustees and Ex￿niDer
The charity's tru8tees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts.
Charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this period (under section
144 of The Charities Act 2011 ("fhe Charities Act), and that an indcpcndent
exan]ination is needed. It is OUT responsibility to:

Our examination was carripAI out in accordance with the General Directions giv¢n by
the Charity commission￿$. An examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts pres¢nt¢d with thos¢
rL'cord8. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual ilLYns or disclosures in th¢
accounts, and seeking explanalions from the ttustees concerning any such matters.
The procedures und¢rtak¢n do not provide all the evidence that would b¢ required in
an audit. and consequently no optnion is given &8 to wh¢ther the accounts prcsLnt

The Trust's annual maintenance income margiiially higher due to a small increase in
cliarges. Inve%irnent income had also incre&sed, reflecling higher interest rates. Tliere was a
onsideTable reduction in TepaiTS expenditure, as the previous y¢ar did in¢lud¢ a major cost to
the buildings drainage system. This w&s however largely offsei by a considerable increase iii
oil costs i'cflccting the continuation of World events. Overall, Ilie surplus wa5 highcr thar) tlie
year betore. despite the higher costs and reflecting the reduction in repairs expeiiditure.
