I report lo the Charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31
December 2024 which are s81 out on pages 1 to 6.
This report is made solely to the Charity's Trustees, as a body. in accordance with section 145 of the
eharilies act 2011 and regulations made under section 154 of IhatAcl. My work has been undertaken so
that I might slats lo the Charity's Trusteesthose matters l am required lo state to them in an independent
¢xaminer's report and for no other purp08e. To the fullest extent permitted by law. I do not accept or

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of thè 2011
Act and in carrying out my examination I have folk)wed the applicable Directions given by the Charity

poor persons as the said Trustee5 shall in their discretion think fit.
In so far as th& Trustees are unable to apply the clear income for this purpose they may appty the same

sidenl therein as they select and in particular bul without prejudice lo the generality of the foregoing in

The supply of bedding, comforts, fcod fuel and medical and other aids.
Grants for the benefits of persons who are sick, infimi, convalescent or in need of ￿st or
change of air to defray the expenses of recuperalwe holidays or of obtaining domestic help.
The donation of money in aid of the fund5 of any convalescent home or other institution or
organisalion estsblished or lo be established for the care and ielief of sick persons upon the

The Charty is listed in Televanl Char¢ty direclorles and the information kept upto dats. Many applicalions
are made by way of information from the directories.
The secretaries regularly infomi and remind relevant agencies (Citizens. Ad¥￿e, Doctors. SUTgeries, local
hospitals, hospices) in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin of the Charity's existence and its obj'ectives.
Trustees bring to the Charity's notice cases from their own areas, both geographical and profess￿•nal. AV
areas of the county are covered geographically. Professional expertise comes from the Church. tr)e
County Council. the Med￿al profession as well as members of the general publK.
When a significant donation is received or made press coverage is taken in the loGai papers.

The Trust has continued lo make f($ 8xi$lence known by developing contacts with agencies and cafe
services aware of people in need of he5p. Del8ii8 of the Charity are induded in publications of charitable
Irusls. The Secretaries, links wtth the medical profession a￿ invaluable and they areable to liaise dose
with GPS and associations such as Nurses Leagues. All applications for help are carefulty investigated
and screened, Trustees making personal assessment visits and submitting confidential reports as the
need arises. Those applicab'ons that do not fill the crrteria are refused. Some are referred to other
Charitable Trusts.
FINANCIAL REVIEW

TheTruslees invest reserves not iequired for short tem purposesto produce fvrther investment incorne.
This is the Charity's main SOU￿ of income. Four Custodian Trustees are appointed to review the
Charity's investments tsvice yearly and they report back to the Commrttee of Trustees. The investments
are managed by stockbrokers and are held in Charitsble Funds.
The flee reserves ofthe Charity at 31st De¢ernber 2024 were £56.98412023.. £53.433). These are the nèt
ash assets of the Charity at the end of the finanryal year.
b) Grant making policy
The Charity invites aptAications in accordancewilh ils objects by writing lo the Secretaries. Grants of less
than £600 may be agreed by the Chairnian and 9rants over £600 are ratif￿d ty the Committee of
Trustees. 103 minor grants were made in the year.
