I repon to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the The Church Chariry OE John Arundell (the
Trust) for the year ended 31 December 2025. which are sec out on pages 4 co 7.
This reporc is made solely to the charitys trustees, as a body, in aeeordanee with seetion 154 of the Charities
Acc 2011. My independent examiner's work has been undertaken so that I might state to the chariry's trustees
those matters l arn required to Stare to them in an independent examinews report and for no other pu￿OSe.
To the Fullesi exienr permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the
charity, the eharitjrfs members as a body and the chariry's trustees as a body for my independent exarninerfs
work, for this report, or for the opinions I have fortned.
Responslbilities and basis of report
As the charL￿S trustees of the Trust you are responsible For the prepararion of the accouncs in accordance
with the requirements of rhe Chariries Act 2011 ('the ACV).
I report in respect of my examination of rhe Trusrfs accounts trarried out under seetion 145 of the 2011 Aet
and in carrying ouc rny examinauon I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Chariry
Commission under section 145(5)(b) OF the Acc.
Independent examiner's statement
I have eompleted my examination. I confinn that no material matters have come to my artention in
connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe chat in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with secuon 130 of the Act or
2. the aeeounts do not accord with those records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper under5randing OF the accounts ro be reached.

The trustees present cheir reporc and accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025.
OKIEcfIvES. ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEIVIENTS
The objecllves and activities OF the chariry are to provide for the upkeep and repair of the Parish Church and
Burial Ground OF The Ecclesiastical Parish OF Sr Dennis (Sr Denys). Cornwall and the mainrenance o& the
services therein. The chariry also promotes the religious and other charitable work of the Church of England
in the Parish of St Dennis and to provide for rnatters incidental to these purposes.
The principal policy of the Charity is to maintain or grow its income stream through the letting OE properry
and/or investments in order to meet its objectives, and to increase the capital value of its properry.
The Trustees have reviewed their objectives, policies and acrivities to ensure they continue to reflect the
CharitJHs aims. In carryin8 Out this reNiew they have considered che Chariry Commission's revised general
guidance on public benefic.
STATUS OF CHARITY
The chariry, which is commonly known as the Arundell Trust, is governed by the Scheme OF the Chariry
Commissioners daced 23 April 1998. The chariry number is 234290.
STRUCTURE OF CHARTTY
The chariry is run by a board of trustees and during the year these were as follows:

TRVSTEES, ILEVIEW
To achieve the objecrs OF the chariry, the aim OF the Trustees is Continually to improve the quality of its
propery, and thereby perpetuate a long-cerm income stream from appreciating a55ets. However, the Trusiees
consider that rent levels should be consisteni wirh the Christian values of the Church and remain competitive
for che area.
Occupation OE the properties remained high at the year end.
The Trustees are looking to add to their properry portfolio.
For the purposes of calculating the 251Yo net income payable co the St Dennis Educational Tn￿t and providing
a Smooth flow of funds, it has been agreed with the Independent Examiner ro write off asset expenditure over
20 years (see Note to the Accounts). The amount payable during 2026 for 2025 shows an arnount OF £8,781
that is providing ongoing significant benefits for young people in the Parish.
Recruitment of new Trustees is by word of mouth, based on local knowledge 2nd skitis required to maintain a
broad expertise. Induction is by way OF a standard inforniation pack including Trust Scheme, Accounts,
Minutes and direction to the relevant documents on the Chariry Commission website.
RISI¢ RESERVES AND INVESTMENTS
The charitjls invesm]ent policy is to maintain no risk deposits for tnedium and short term needs. Investment
opportunities conrinued to be explored. The eurrent account remains with Lloyds Bank. This reflects the
porenrial For significant unbudgeted expenditure relating to either the Church an￿or its residential
properries. Long-rerm invesunent is by way of C.O.l.F. or Charifund income shares. The Trust's reserve policy
is to maintain sufficient reserves to cover tnajor expenditure on either the Church or irs residential properties.
The Trust remains in a healthy financial position. There was an excess OF income over expendirure of £18,639
in Ihe year. Investment retums eontinue to decline. The risk profile remains unchanged, and the Trust is
eonfident that the tneasures taken to ttLinimise them will lead to continuing financial and operating stabiliry.
