The Trusteès prèsènt their report along with the finanoal statements of the tharity for the year ended
31 March 2024. The financial aatements have been prepared in accordan￿ with the accounting
policies set out in note 110 the accounts and comply with the charity's trust deed, the Charitie5 Act
2011 and the Statemeni of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reportin8 by Chatities IFRSSEI 2015
Strurtur*, G¢hfèrnance and Man4ement:
The Trust was consituted by Deed of Trust dated 31 J•nuary 1964 and is 4o¥erned under the terms of
that Deed. The Trust Is managed by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for the strategic dirertion
¢f thè Trust and establishing policy. The Board of Trustees meets 3 time$ 4 year or on any other occaslon
as Trusi matters require.
7he Trustees hold the Trust Fund to apply the Income and capltal thereof In 5uth manner as they shall
In thelr absolute discretion think fit for all or any of the following purpose5:.
The preservatlon, repalr, malntenance. Improvement. upkeep. beautification and re<onstrurtion of
churches In the UnSted Kingdom and of momuments, fittin85. fi¥ture5. Stained glass. furniture, ornaments
and chattels Sn such churches. and of the thurthy•rd belongin8 to such churches.
Publlc Benefii..
Trustee$ are aware ol the requirement placed upon them by the Charitie5 Act 2011 to demonstrate
compliance wlth Section 4 dealin8 wlth 'public beneflt". The Trust's aim falls wlthin definitions of
charitable actlvity. the advancemènt of religton and the adVan￿rnent of heritage. On each coun( the
Trust povides benefits to the public Benerally. The direct benefi¢iafies of the Trust's support are the
pari5he5 and congregations that are responsible for ¢hurches. chapels and meetin8 hoyses in
Lelcestershlre or the Diocese of Le1￿$ter. The Trust raises money for the restorailon and Improvemenl
of ¢hurches. chapels and meetln8 housÈs which are used lor ChflstSan worship and makes no
dlscrlminatlon between denomina¢ions. Applications for giants are 5UPPOrted by written applications
u$lng a standard onllne form and are waluaied by the Grants Administr•tor before consideration in
detail at a meeting ol the Truste￿. Applications are sometimes reviewed durin8 visits to the stene of
the proposed works. It Is clear that the work of the Trust benefits those members of the publlc that
make use of these placès of worshlp, either for worship or to ènjoy and admlre the bullding5. the
majority of which are of hlstoiic and architectural 4niflcan¢e. Or to attend a Community event In
the buildings.

The maln fund ralsin8 èach year Is a Sponsored Ride+Stride event whlch raised £36,455
inclusive of Glft Ald12023- £33.6501.
Grants. gifts and donations Teceived during the year amounted to £12,31912023- £7,79SI. Grants allocated
to churches durlrb8 the year amounted to £23,25012023- £30,650).
Reserves Pollcy:
The Trustees keep on uncommitted reserve of around £40.LW. which amount is reviewed annual
and deposited in a separate account wth CCLA.

3. The Trust can consider applications for the repalT of fittin8s, lixtures. stained glass. monuments.
lurniture, clo¢k5. ornaments and ¢hattels of churches and chapels, and of churchyards Iso lon6 as the
churchyard is vSsually part of the 5ettln8 of the church and under the responslbilty of the Church/Chapel
Councll, and also open for buria151.
4. The Tr￿st does not consider applicatlons for reOe¢oratin8 lelcepi where ihls Is ne(essary followlng
repalr51, or for school or othèr ancjllary buildings. The Trust does not normally support
improvements that fequirt an extension.

The Trustee5 are reoulred under the CharltSe5 SORP 2015 to confirni as part of Its report that they have
revlewed and taken steps to rnitigate the major risks io the Tiust and an annu31 review of rlsk so as to
ensur* that the measures taken are adequate.
