ACHIEVEMEKfs AND PERFORMANCE
The seNce was prepared by the Naticfbgl Commiitee of Tarwan. It was amended and refinBd over
sixteen months after input from those attending Preparatmjn Days. Thg Work of am the Vol￿*e6r5 was
greaUy appre￿ated, as was the work ofthe office staff.
There are four patd Staff in the office and otherpers0nne1whowo￿f0rthe chtyarevdunlegrs. The
deemed value of the time prowded by the volunteers cannot b8 quantffied and is not record￿ In the
financlal statements.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charity's work 1$ entlrety rellant urx)n the finandal ¢ollectlons receNed al Ihe annual Day of Prayer.
Durlng the year, income in the Unrestricted General Fund decreased £163.853 in 2022 to £108,709
In 2023 and expenditure decreased from £390.IKI9 to £361.817. There was a defkit for the year of
£55,3S* after transferring £30.000 to the Contiroency FuThJ. The balance at 31 December 2023 was
£108,709 {2022-. £163.853).
The trustees agr¢¢d to mako an annual allocallon of £8.0￿ lo the Wolsh Con￿ltte8 for their use In
paying grants. printing, staff costs and other expenses.
The Deslgnaled Fund had a balanGg carried low4rd at 31 December 2023 of £235,000 on the
Contingency Fu￿1 (2022.. £205.IN)O). Th8 Young Wom8n's Confererne Fund wa8 closed during the
year.

In May 2021, the trustees agreed to increase the ann￿1 transfgr fr¢m the General Fund lo the
Contingency Fund from £5.000 to£30.0(K) a year for thenextfouryear. The balan¢eon the Contiwency
Fund at 1 January 2023 £205.0Th) and £235,000 at 31 De¢embei 2023.
Rlsk Management
The trustees have oxamined the major strategic I￿sir￿sS operational riskswhich the charity faces
and confirni that systems have been established to enable ￿gUlar reports lo be produced so that the
nec8s58ry Steps can be tsken to lessen these ri%ks. Thg main risk ts that attendance atthe 8eNices on
the Day of Prayer is reduced, as occurred in 2018 due to severe weathgr cc￿dItiOnS, resulting n a
s￿nIficant reduction in incomefrom collections. Other risks Ind￿￿0 a weal of the national ￿)ckdo￿ as
a resull of anolher pandemic ar)d servKes not being held due to polit￿81 sonsitivit185 within the different
branches about the material or county beffry r*lebrated.
Plans for the Future

are members of the Interna￿n81 Executive Commitie& of Ihe Workj Day of Prayer.
