INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT to the Trustees of the Soci for the Relief of Poor Cle en I have examined the accounts of the SRPC for the year ended 31 December 2023. which are set out on the following pages. My examination includes a review of the acwunting records kept by the SRPC and a comparison of the accounts with those records. It also includes considering any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seekSn8 explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. In ConnecOn with my examination, I believe that the accounts provide- an accurate record of the income and expenditure resultlngfrom the transacttons which took place during the period l January- 31 December 2023. There is nothing that leads me to believe that good accounting practices have not been properly followed during this period. I note that the treasurer has changed the system tor recording the assets held by the SRPC '. historically the value of shales has been recorded at their cost price but in the latest set of accounts. their market value at the end of the occounting period has been used instead. I believe that the balance sheet accurately records the value of these assets as at 31 December 2023. I commend the treasurer for his thoroughness and perseverance in verifying the figures to produce an accurate set of accounts.
