18 years of age, and the home and care for the aged. During the year 202>2024 vhthln the Dohnavur

of these have been living in DF in the After Care home. commLth"ng to Iheir rA8ces of higher education on a daily

compound Into a home for 44 retired elderfy workers, who fequiie professional care Whi￿ still able to retain soma
independen￿. A generou$ donation of 530.0¢￿ from the Elllabeth Elliott Found*ion was lorwarded by the DF
HOr￿rary Secretary in the USA to Dohn8vur, sthich funded the firsl phase of the renovation it is hoped that the
Vistara Home for the DF Elderly ￿11 be ¢ompleled belore the end of Odobet 2024. From June 2023, the DFC
has provided Temuneration a hired Pwamme Manager, to SUFwise maiw projects. and provide detailed
and timely monthly reports.

projects and train DF workers, and £77,187 towards the sec£¥)d phase of the ￿Stara Progf8mme.

Investment pollcy
The Irust¢e$' investment policy is to ensure ihat the pool of monèy hekj wthin the charity is inve51ed prudenlty
and profitably over the long term for the charity's ot¥'8ctives and lor tho bonefft of the Dohnavtlr Fdlowship. Tho
alm is lo prowd9 a balance ¢f income and capital growth through a low-risk strategy. All of the charity's
Investments are (xjrrently invested V￿th COIF Charity Funds under ihe management of CCLA Investment
Management Ltd. Th• allo¢8b"on and pwfomwnce of Ihe imiestments is kepl under review.
Risk management
The Risk R￿lS¢er is rewewed annualty by the trustees, usualty in September. The Risk Register was reviewed
8nd updated during the trustses, meeting on 21 September 2024.The Pn"nap￿ risks Identified that would
pot8nbally havè thè most impa¢t ¢n the work of the charity tt￿tinue to te.. {al a svJnificant reduction in doncr and
legacy income,. Ibl unavailability of the administrator. lor example, due to illness, and Icl the Govemment of India
blocking income from abroad. Th¢ FCRA¢ertrftste, allowing the Oohnavur Fdlowship to a￿sS income from
abroad was renewed ti112028. The trustees rnonttor these risks and take steps to protect the tharity's Wsi￿n.

In India.. In 2017-18. an Organisational Audit of the DF by the chrisb.an InstitLrte of Management Iclhlll in

fundéd by thè DFC. ful DF approval. The Oohnavur Fdlowship's Vision, Mission, business practs'ces and
operating pmcedures were rewsitÈd ov8r a peri(MJ of time. The purpose was lo refocus its core work with
children, the sick and d•strtute, ￿nbraCIng th& rèalib.es and stsndards of care under the Government of India
regulations in the 21st century, while iemaining fimily rooted in the Christian eth05 ofAmy C8rmioha81 from 1900
on. Tne trustees continue to work dosety ¥wth the Dohnavur F8lltr•tship in supporting and advlsing them ￿ n
or ethanced programme8 and initiat'ves, induding the appointment of key Wotkers from outside th? DF, to

rètainer basis. His visits to the OF a￿ now on¢e a month for Ihree full days. He also works at distance frorn

The transformation of the Vistara into a purpose-￿1￿ hom8 the is gglning new momenturn. Tho DFC
has been very ¢losely engaged in all Ihese developments. aThJ has a strong working ￿latiOnShIp with thè DF.
During thè rèporting period. the DFC fvnded Consuttancy planning m8eb.ngs and training workshops. through tha
Ganeral Fund when required, and ctsntinues lo do so. The inrtial v￿lara transformati)n to a home for the elderly,
started in late 20218nd vrds funded through a rna1(￿ donor in the US. The DFC has funded the second phase of
