one farm and approximately 280 acres of f8m) knd and 2 local leisure facilities.

From 1672 John Darrel's own manor house was us8d as Ihe living accommodatr'on for the almsmgn. Having
fallen Into dlsrep81r by the 18309, the house was demdished and replaced by the present buildlng Ith8 archllocl
r&sponsible fot the new buil¢Jing was a150 commission8d foi the design and construcuon of Buckingham House,
now Buckingham Palace). In 2024 thg charity und8rtook Ihé d8v6lopmenl of 5 slngle storey alms houses lo
provld8 accommodalion for existing bfelhren experienclng mobility Issues and thes¢ were Gompleled in
Dscember 2024. 4 of Ihg new cottage8 Inl8nd8d for albcation to existing brethren In need ol such
accommodation and the 5th cottag8 lo be retained lor use where sudden temtK•ray illne88 or p811ialive care
needs aris&. The piesent accommodab'on al Trinity Hospital provides 20 small cottagg units for brolh8rs,
cottage accommodallon for the Scheme Manager, a Chapel, Audit Room, The Oarrel Room (day room), parlour
and laundry f8cillies. The Audit R¢xJm and The Darrel Roorn ar8 used for social functions.
The hospltsl building is Grade 11 listed and is set in Tis own ground$. These are laid lo lawns, with flowgr beds,
tr@es and shrubs. The almshouses are routinely refurbished and upgraded. E8ch cenlr81ty healed cott8g8 is salf-
contained and provides a liwng room. kitchen and shower room on the ground flwr wth a largè bedroom on the
first floor. Th8 8lmshous8s are wthin walking distance of Ratlord lown cgntra.

External repairs have prevlousty been undertaken to Trinity Hospital including renewal and replacement of
paving areas and rebuilding of gardenlrelaining walls as well as alteration of thg storage cupboards lo tha
cottages to enable them lo be more easily accessible and useful sp8ces for the brethren.
Various repairs and improvements have been undertaken to a number of properbes along Bridgegale with Nos
25 10 31 being scaffolded and the extemal frontage having ￿M￿er and wndow repairs followed by a schema of
repaintiffj.
