Method of recruilmenl and appointment of trustees
Elected members shall all re8ign at the Annual General Meeting whth will be hehl by the end of the
calendar ygar to which the accounts refer. Elected members may then stand for re-election at the
AGM to the samè or other posts within the trust. A vacancy arising from the death or resignation ol a
trust member during the year Shall be filled following a proposal made 81 a meeting of the Findon
Village Hall Trust that has been voted on and approved by two thirds of the members present.
Elected members of the Findon Village Hall Tru81 shall comprige, Chairperson, Vice-chairperson,
Secretary. Treasurer and Booking Secretary. Non-elecled members shall comprise represenlalives
appointed by invited Findon Village Organisalions with aims of a social, recreational. or educational
character of a non-discrirninalory nature using the Hall on a regular bagi$. Such organisations should
exist lor the benefit ol inhabitan15 of Findon Village and 115 irnmediate vicinity.

The Irusl's objects 8re to provide facil11188 for physical and mental rttcrèalion, soci81, moral and
ntelleclual development through the medium ol reading and re¢￿allOn rooms, library lecture8,
recreation classes and entertainments or olherwse. a8 may be found expedient for the benefit of the
inhabilanls of the parish of Findon, Wg$t Su$¥ex and ils immediate vicinity. The￿ has been no
Change in these objects during the year. The polici08 adopted in furtherance of these object$ are
non-di8criminalory.
Achthi•m•nt• and performanc•
Achievement8 since the last AGM saw the completion of the Mllage Hall Car park resurfacing and
relining, which bought major works lo a completion for the year, the support provided by the balance ol
the Public Works Loan through Flndon Par18h Councll enabled this, wllh the 8hortf811 amount provided
by FVHT to compete these C￿1¥.
Other works completed through0￿ the year were,. moss removal from all of the roof $urfac89 and the
subsequent repairs to the roof tiles, In Chanclonbury, the laying of the replacernenl Foyer 8ub8lrale
and new Flooring, which completed ihe look of the entrance. the two areas lo the sides of the entrance
doors to Nepcole Hall have now been I￿31ed, lined and filled wllh Blue Slate, whlch makeg them more
attractive and maintenance Iree, we had the helping hand ol many volunleefg one Saturday in
October, which saw the painting and staining ol ¥ome of the exiernal doors and the inlemal wall and
door8 of the Main Foyer, the lights to the toilets in Nepcote had the controllers changed to microwave
8en80r8, ensuring they were switched off automatically.
Our regular cla88 booklngs have increased noticeably, continuing to mature. giving rise to increased
revenLJe8 which in turn Bupports the Trust in achieving its goal of maintaining enough financial
reserves for a period of least 314 mclnlhy of self-5ufficiency. Fund raising activities have also continued
throughout the year lo help raise much needed ongoing funds and this is overse¢n by the Trustees
and many wblllng volunteers for the utilisation by individuals, for business, pleasure and leisure. And I
would personally thank all of the Volunteers, Associations, Clubs, Individuals, Hirers and Trustees, for
all of the work and effortg they provide, lo ensure that the Ha115 conb'nue lo thrive, serve the
community and Look Good to all.
