Our Wl has continued to support our local Junior School, PJS, by

school grounds and garden. As weLI as purchasing picnic benches,
to be used for outdoor lessons and lunchtime, the school has also
bought a new shed and a weather station.
Since Charlie Dimmock's visit last October the school has
arranged for the fiLLing in of the old pond, and a new pond has been
built in the area between the Infants and Junior School. The idea
being that all the chiLdren will be able to access the area, and
benefit from pond dipping and the wildlife.
Our Wl has also
donated funds to the Pennington Village pre-school, for the
purchase of Wet Weather Clothing for the children to wear when
playing outdoor and to Pennington Infants SchooLtowards the cost

In addition to funding projects to benefit the Community we have
been donating the proceeds of our monthly raffles to local causes

Thanks go to Carol Labram and Janet RigLar for attending the NFS
Tent Committee Coffee Morning in March. Maureen also attended
as a representative of Hordle Wl. Janet will be giving her report in
due course.
Sadly, we lost one of long standing members, Mary Lewis, last
September. Mary had been unwell for a longtime and some of our
members attended her celebration of life service at Hinton Park
Woodland Burial Ground afterwhich we were presented with bulbs
to take home to plant and our Wl made a donation to Oakhaven in
Memoryof Mary.
Thanks to everyone who has helped to make our Wl a success.
Our Wl has attracted some new members, we have a good
relationship with the Church, and schooLs, and have lots to look
forward to both this year, and next.
