## **Totton and District Three Score Club**

## **Trustees’ Report for year ending 31[st] December**

## **2024**

The Club continues to adapt its offering of activities for the over 60s in Totton and the surrounding Districts whilst continuing to minimise the cost for those attending.

Membership remains around 300 with the loss of some of the older members being replaced by new members.

The Club made a small operational profit for the year of £539..

The value of the the Club’s until trusts grew over the year but these are unrealised values as they remain invested in the unit trusts to provided future funding for future expenses to maintain the Club building.

Volunteers continue to maintain the building and its decoration.

Besides the regular weekly events, the Club continued to run a number of special events which were well supported by the members as well as the regular activities. It also organised two Christmas dinner sessions for over 100 members to enjoy a Christmas Lunch. There were also days out and UK based holidays.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF TOTTON AND DISTRICT THREE SCORE CLUB FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024**

We have examined the accounts on pages 3 to 5, which have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

This report is made solely to the Club's members, as a body. Our examination has been undertaken so that we might state to the Club's members those matters we are required to state to them in an Independent Examiner's report and for no other purpose.

## **RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLUB AND THE EXAMINER**

The Club's constitution requires that proper books of account be kept which disclose, with reasonable accuracy, the Club's income and expenditure and its assets and liabilities. It is our responsibility to form an independent opinion, based on our examination, on the accounts prepared from these records and to report our opinion to you.

## **SCOPE OF THE EXAMINATION OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS**

An Independent Examination includes examination, on a test basis, of evidence relevant to the amounts and disclosures in the accounts. It also includes an assessment of the significant estimates and judgments made by the Club's officials in the preparation of the accounts, and of whether the accounting policies are appropriate to the Club's circumstances, consistently applied and adequately disclosed.

We planned and performed our examination so as to obtain all the information and explanations which we considered

necessary in order to provide us with sufficient evidence to give reasonable assurance that the accounts are free from material misstatement, whether caused by fraud or other irregularity or error.

In forming our opinion we also evaluated the overall adequacy of the presentation of information in the accounts.

## **OPINION**

In our opinion the accounts give a true and fair view of the state of the Club's affairs as at 31 December 2024 and of its surplus for the year then ended, and have been properly prepared in accordance with its constitution.
