Object of village Hall charity: 

**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

(l) The object of the village Hall Charity shall be the provision and maintenance of of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parishes of Falkenham and Kirton and the neighbourhood thereof (hereinafter called ’the area of benefit’), without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants 

(2) the land with the building thereon specified in the said schedule and belonging to the said charity..shall be held upon trust for the purposes of the village hall as aforesaid’

A pre-school operates week daily 08.30-17.30 for children in the village and surrounding area 

Each weekday evening activities are held including Whist Drive; Short mat bowls; circuit training; sewing; ballroom dancing 

At weekends, the hall is available for hire for celebrations and events at reasonable cost

Building work to upgrade the toilet, storage and office areas was completed and the hall reopened in early 2022, Other refurbishment eg the rear roof is planned for early 2023 

The hall is now used every day and evening for local groups and activities
