APERFIELD W.l. TRUSTEES REPORT 2024-2025

CHARITY No. 227738

We belong to a National Organisation who claim part of your annual subscription to support Head Office They organise and implement Resolutions (which we vote on) and they are kept informed of our membership list by our MCS rep.

Our WI is continuing to ‘hold its own’, we were pleased to welcome 4 new members, all our meetings average 75% attendance.

All our activities yoga, line dancing, rambles, ambles, theatre, craft afternoons and lunch clubs are flourishing and some activities have a waiting list.

We have had speakers at our meeting who have given excellent talks on a variety of subjects, We were informed how to Stay Safe on the Internet. We visited the Isle of Madagascar by slides, and we were frightened by the Ghosts of Hampton Court, Tales of Henry V111, and we laughed heartedly at the Tales of a Theatre Dresser!

Our hall hasn't had such a good year, the new pre-school which started in September 2022 folded.

Unfortunately, she left with a bad debit, for this we had to go through the which we had to go the small claim court, which was successful.

Our hall is successfully hired out during the afternoon and evening for all nature of activities, but we have found that due to a restriction on bouncy castles in the hall, this is due to our sprung floor, children's party aren't as much in demand as previous years.

All our hall equipment has been serviced, throughout the year; fire extinguishers, boiler and PATS testing of electrical equipment. The outside of our hall has had a make-over and the wooden suffixes have been replaced with plastic. The old fences in front of the garden were replaced due to wind damage and we have replaced the main door to the hall.

A gardener cuts the lawns and maintains the flower beds.
