Activities
The Mann Memorial Cottages Charity is responsible for the care and maintenance of three Almshouses in Sawbridgeworth in the County of Hertfordshire. The Clerk also visits the residents and makes sure they are healthy and have everything they require. Mr Newby another Trustee also visits on regular occasions. The other Trustees assist with the maintenance and the day today running of the Cottages.
Objects: Residence Of Almspeople Who Shall Be Poor Persons Who Are Not Less Than 55 Years Of Age And Who (Except In Special Cases To Be Approved By The Commissioners) Have Resided Within A Radius Of 3 Miles From The Said Almshouses For Not Less Than One Year Next Preceding The Time Of Appointment.
