The Charity provides financial assistance to young persons leaving school who make application to the Charity and who are going on to further education (i.e. University or Polytechnic) and who live within the Ancient Chapelry of Heptonstall. The award to assist them in purchase of books for their studies.
Objects: The Assistance Of Persons Who Or Whose Parents Are Bona Fide Residents In The Ancient Chapelry Of Heptonstall, Who Are Under The Age Of 21 Years By Means Of Exhibitions (not Exceeding ¯25) Consisting Of Either A Payment Of The Tuition Fees Payable At The School Or A Yearly Payment By Way Of A Maintenance Allowance Tenable At Any Public Secondary School, Exhibitions Tenable At University, University College, Training College For Persons Intending To Enter Any Profession Or Other Like Institutions Of Higher (including Professional And Technical) Instruction.. The Income Is Subject To The Right Of A Vicar/priest In Charge In Heptonstall (if Any), To Receive One Moiety.
