**Objects:** 1) TO BUILD, EQUIP AND MAINTAIN LIFE-BOATS, TRANSPORTING CARRIAGES, BOAT-HOUSES AND SLIPWAYS AT OR NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE RIVER TYNE, AND TO CARRY OUT ALL OTHER PURPOSES INCIDENTAL TO THE OBJECTS OF SAVING LIFE FROM SHIPWRECK, AND ASSISTING VESSESLIN DISTRESS. 2) TO GRANT REWARDS, DONATIONS OR ANNUITIES TO ANY DESERVING PERSON OR PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED WITH THE WORK OF LIFE-SAVING, AND WHO SHALL BE IN POOR CIRCUMSTANCES, OR TO ANY OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS IN CONSIDERATION OF SERVICES GIVEN IN FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY. **Activities:** The Tyne Lifeboat Society supports local good causes on Tyneside that are involved with saving lives on the River Tyne and around the immediate coastline and also youth organisations with a marine context.Organisations that benefit include Volunteer Lifeguards, Volunteer Life Brigades, Sea Cadets, Sea Scouts and Marine Emergency Units.
