Coniston Amenities Fund Registered Charity No. 225142
The Coniston Amenities Fund is a charity established to support groups and organisations which provide for the well-being of the community within the Parish of Coniston.
Management Structure and Trustees
All trustees are current parish councillors who have chosen to take on the additional role of trustee.
Present Trustees include: Tracy Coward, James Buller, Robert McCracken, Elizabeth Lea, Lian Dixon, and James Butcher

Source of Income and how this was spent
The Trust relies on charitable donations to undertake its work.
This year it received a generous donation of £10,000 from Epic Kidz, the organisers of the Lakeland 50/100 ultra marathon. This funding has been distributed to 13 local organisations which provide services directly to the community e.g. Brownies, Home School Association, Coniston Institute, Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.
In addition there has been a very generous legacy donation from Mr G Fleming. Mr Fleming left £15,000 to the Coniston Amenities Fund. The funds will go toward the redevelopment of village playground.
The Fund does not hold assets, employ staff or provide services directly, however, through supporting organisations it enables those groups to provide sporting activities, services to young people, older people and toward the safety of the visitors to the area through Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.
