|Contribution made by<br>volunteers|The Management Committee consists of volunteers, some of those<br>whom work strategically in fund raising, and publicising the camp,<br>those whom directly impact on the organisation, administration and<br>management of the Camp, and together confirm the prioritisation<br>on the funds raised in maintaining and developing the facilities and<br>presentation of the site and buildings.<br>The Trustees and management committee hosted at Halloween<br>ball fundraiser event at the Vermilion Banqueting Suite.<br>Manchester which proved extremely successful in bringing in<br>funds, formal dinner for 650 gusts incorporating at live<br>entertainment and plenty of support from a number of companies.<br>The Halloween Ball was attended by the Salford Mayor and other<br>local dignitaries which not only raised the profile of the Charity but<br>also directly resulted in the Charity being selected as a supported<br>Charity for the Ceremonial Mayor of Salford for 2021/2022.<br>In addition to the Halloween Ball, the Trustees and volunteers held<br>a Big Fix Crowdfunding campaign to kick-start the redevelopment<br>of the camp buildings in the near future.<br>.|

|Achievements and<br>Performance<br>.|During the period of the report, a total of 433 visitors stayed at<br>Camp including 184 young people from the City of Salford and their<br>teachers.<br>The Camp hosted 38 disadvantaged young people from other<br>areas.<br>Attendance at the camp was significantly lower to 31stMarch 2022<br>due to the impact of Covid 19 across England and Wales and the<br>decision by our regular groups not to attend camp to avoid the risk<br>of Covid 19 despite growing confidence in the wider community<br>due to the implementation of the vaccine programme.<br>The community café has continued to grow and is now a vital asset<br>within the local community. Bookings and attendance have fallen<br>by approximately 45% due to the impact of Covid 19. However, the<br>camp has been used to host blood donor sessions providing further<br>community benefit during difficult times|

Despite the impact of Covid 19 on both operational and fundraising activities, the financial position remains buoyant due to the commitment of the Trustees, Volunteers and also the support form central and local Government. The Trustees remain committed to making 2022/2023 a success and provisional bookings for summer 2023 provide optimism for the future of the camp.

## **Independent Examiners Report** 

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31[st] March 2022 are set out on pages 6 to 7. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirement of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with connection with examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect. 

1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; 

2. The accounts do not accord with those records; 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS** 

- 1 Basis of preparation These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities Act 2011. 

- 2 Fund Accounting 

   - (a) Unrestricted funds are those that can be expended at the discretion of the trustees in the furtherance of the objects of the charity 

   - (b) Restricted funds are those that may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor. 

- 3 Taxation 

The charity is not liable to tax on its charitable activities. 

   - The charity is not registered for VAT. Irrecoverable VAT is included in the expense to which it relates. 

- 4 Transactions with trustees 

   - No remuneration nor expenses were paid to trustees, or any persons connected with them during the year or previous year.
