Aswciation and rcgi5tered as a charity on 7 Dcccmbcr 1963. On 13 March 19918

16th July 2008, by Resolution in the Minut4 the name ofthe Organisation was
changed to Outreach UK. This approved by thc Charity Commission on 28th
April 2009.

and comply with the Charitys t￿￿ deed. applicable law and the requirements of th¢ Statement of Recommended
Prnctice- Accounting and Reportin8 by Charities (SORP 2005).

The Mission is governed. at presenL by a Coun¢il consisting of fivc Christians dTrwn from Protcstant d￿OMinatIOnS
and Indcpcndcnt Church fellow5hip5 and it meets thrL* (IM￿ a year. Since the commenccment orth¢ COVID 19
pandemic, Council has been conducting thesc meetings usin8 'Zoom' trchn0l0￿. and for thc lime bein8 intend5 to
continue to do so. in order to overcome the problem of cxcessivc travelling distanccs for some mcmber5. li Continues
to be the intention of those presently serving to rccruit new membcjs to ihc Council, as and when appropriaic, to
strengthen its Tepresentation.

experien¢¢ of OUK associat¢ cvangelists. Flow¢v¢r. fvrther suP￿rt IS SOU8ht from new mcmbcrs with
accountinyjtreasury backgrounds. Churchman5hip ran8es from Baptisi kn Inde￿dent Cvangelical and reflects Ihc
evangeli￿1 stance of the Mission.
The policies that govern the working of thc Mission arc agr¢cd at Council and minutcd at its mcctings. Howcver. the
day to day managemcnt is dcvolvcd io thc Naiional Ficld Dircctor. redcsi8natcd from January 2024 &$ General
Manager. who is supported by an 0￿1¢¢ stru¢lurc involving an Adminisiration OITiccr, and 5cparnie Financ¢ O￿leer.
Regular reports are presented by these o￿lcer￿ to the Council mcetings and suggestions and di￿l¢U1t1CS arc discussed.
The National Field DirectorlGcneral Manager is responsible for wmmunicating thc dccisions of ihe Council to all
evangelists and to respond to any ditTieuhies they may hav¢. In thc main he also works as the int¢rface with other
Christian organi5ations and is rcsponsible for publicity and adv¢rtisin& Th¢ Administration & Finance Officer5 are
responsible for thc general financial and administrative running of the mission. Thc Council membcrs also provide
practical support by taking responsibility for &%signed iopics such as supporter liaison, financc and publicity. The
Mission has increasingly develO￿d a strong network of volunte¢r Asso¢iatc Evangelists who worfc part-time overall
under the guidance of the National Field Dir(ttorlGencral Manager, bul with tho ongoing cxpansion of thc work. an
Area Field Officer, based in Manchester continucs to oversee th¢ volunleer Associat¢ Evangelists in Northcm
Eng12nd' and a second Area Ficld Officer bas¢d in Milton Kcyncs oversecs voluntccr A550ciate Ivangelists in the
Midlands and ELsi Anglia areas. Two more Afo posts were created from January 2024 to focus on the South West
England and Walcs areas.
The Council of Outreach UK is grateful to GI￿1 for14is provision over the past year. both in financial tern15 and in new
associate personnel joining the Mission. Our praycr is to see the work furthcr expand so that a gr¢aler number of
persons may Lx reach¢d with th¢ Gosp¢l of th¢ tA)rd J&sus Chrtst through th¢ work of our &<4ociatc ¢vartgelists.
Achievements pcrforniancc
During the year up to 31 March 2024. &8 indicated aE*)vc, thc Mission continued the policy not to cmploy any fvll-
time evangelists, but increased under contract the number of Area Field Officers to four on J part-timc. self4mploy¢d
basis to assist the National field DirectorlG¢n¢ral Managcr in identifying aThl ovcrs¢cing Ass￿l8t¢ Evangelists in
England and Wales.

Associate Evangelists. often alon8 with the National Field Director or Area field 0￿]CerS. have again ken working
with churches in outreach pro8fdms. often h¢lping in iho training of individuals within the local churches who are
keen to be involved in personal evan8¢1ism. With this in mind, the flexible trainin8 resource cntitled 'Casting your
Nets,, has continucd. This has becomc a partncr5hip with the Good Ncws ncwspapcr and Pockct Tcstament t£ague in
providin8 evan8elistic literaturc for thos¢ who have r¢ccivcd training through this initiative to use in one•to-one
cvan8elisti¢ with¢ss in their local communitics. Also, partnership with thc Good N¢ws for Everyonc Association
(formerly Gideons UK). training in one-lo-one evan8¢lism was offered to GNFL
members.
Some designat¢d gifts arc rcccivcd dircct by Ilcad 0￿1¢¢ and are fonyardcd to the relevant evangelists. Central
donation& including legacies. havc cnablcd the Mission to continu¢ its work ov¢r th¢ year.
The Associale Evang¢lists T¢am was ¢stablish¢d in 1997 to enable volunteer5 to work in conjunction wilh local
¢hurchc5 in variou5 area5 of thc countryj cach onc givin8 at Icast twelvc hours pcr month in one-t04)ne evangelism.
They receive literature and training from the National l-'i¢ld Director andlor Ar¢a l.icld Officer and also senior
A$S￿late evangelists. Thcrc wcrc, around scvcnty associate cvan8elists workin8 during thc year.
During the past year the Mission purchascd gospels. Scriplure portions. Christian litcrdlurc, especially Good N¢w5
Newspapers and DVDS for salc and frcc distribution lo the various contacts made through visitation.
The official magazine of Outreach UK is called'outrcach" and is produc¢d pcriodically throu8h the year. It contains
reature articles of general intercst conccming the Mission &s well a5 repotts from the evangelists in thc ficld.
Mcanwhile, a monthly 'Prnycr Diary, is also produccd for Mission 5UPPOrt¢r5 who havc cxprcsscd a desirc to prny
daily for the evRn8elists and general needs ofthe work. This is initially sent out by cmail. and copi¢s are made locally
by some churches for further distribution. The diary continu¢s to be well re¢civ¢d and usa for faithful prayer. Thc
Mission also provides a wcbsite where articles and infomiation are r¢￿rd¢d for usc by interested partics. Thc website
continues to be a fruitful route for reaching new A5sociat¢ Evangclists.
Pyblie Benefit
Outreach UK is a non-dcnominational Chrislian mission committed to working alongsidc Protcslant churches who are
seeking lo s¢ry¢ th¢ir local communilies through the practical cxprcssion of th¢ir faiih as well as by making
opportunity for those who are intsrested, from any racial or ethnic 8roup. or any so¢ial strala. to find out the bclicfs
and practices of a Christian church. Wc do this in a variely of ways that wc bclievc arc cncompassed in the 8uidance
given by Government and the Charity Commission to enable u5 to say that thc charli￿5 aims and objcctiv¢s are for the
public benefiL
Some of the ways we undertake the Aims and Objcctivcs of thc Organisalion are hcrc listed - although over this year,
the on80in8 effect of the Covid 19 pandemic. has meant that some of thcse aims hav¢ bcen r¢duced or cvcn curtailed

Alihou8h over the pasl ycar income has been somewhat rcduced. any suitablc S￿rpluS funds thal may become
availabl¢ would be invesied based on advice from an Indcpcndent Financial Advisor. Thc portfolio is reviewed
periodically by th¢ trust¢cs in consuliation with the IFA.

Th¢ Mission is reliant on volunlary donations to mcct its eommitmenis in th¢ support of its work. As local giving has
consi51cntly fallen short of the cost of running the Mission. the ¢harity nccds rcs¢r¥¢s to make good this annual
shortfall.

ov¢r. financial policy. porsonncl appoinlmcnls and ongoing managcment is dont via the regular periodic Council
