Activities

The Stanley Street Centre for the Deaf is still following its constitution by serving profoundly, severely and partially deaf adults. It still provides spiritual meetings in the chapel on the first Tuesday of each month; a team of ministers take it in turn to take the church meetings. Social meetings take place on Tuesdays & Saturdays with various activities and trips out being organised.

Objects: 1)to Provide Services On Sundays And Lectures During The Week On Educational And Interesting Subjects Orally And By Finger Language.2) Within The Area:i) To Visit The Deaf And Dumb At Their Homes.ii) To Give Aid To The Deaf And Dumb In Time Of Sickness And/or Unemployment. Iii)to Provide Or Attempt To Provide Employment For The Deaf And Dumb. Iv) Generally To Carry On Such Charitable Objects For The Benefit Of The Deaf And Dumb As Shall From Time To Time Appear To The Committee To Be Expedient.3) To Provide And Maintain The Institute For The Furtherance Of All Or Any Of The Foregoing Objects.
