Bryan Lancaster Trust Annual Report 1.8.24.-31.7.25
The Bryan Lancaster Trust is a small independent Quaker trust which gives small grants mainly to charities in Cumbria and the North West. It also supports national charities that work with people in need in the North West. It supports some Quaker work and supports charities overseas that have a British base.
The trustees met four times in the reporting period. There have been no changes of trustees. We continue to prioritise supporting local groups.
Our investments and our CCLA holdings continue to be managed by Brewin Dolphin. They produce an annual statement which is clear, concise and specific to us. We had our annual meeting with our broker in June.
Carter Jonas our land agent, who collects rents and negotiates on our behalf on matters regarding the land which the trust owns, was acquired by GSC Grays in May 2024. We are waiting for advice on the review of the rents on our agricultural holdings.
