## 1. Purpose/Object

The York Street Gospel Hall Trust is responsible for maintaining the three church buildings used by the church members at York Street, Braunstone and Goodwood. Each church operates independently, although use of the buildings is governed by the York Street Trust Deed.

2. Organisation

There are Trustees from each of the three churches on the Trust. Currently five from York Street, six from Braunstone and four from Goodwood. The Chair, Treasurer and Secretary are appointed at the annual general meeting, normally held in February or March.

An interim meeting is held in September/October.

None of the trustees receive any remuneration from the Trust.

## 3.

Public Benefit Statement and Trust Activities

The church buildings are maintained in good repair in order that the individual churches can use each building to benefit their local communities through a range of activities each week.

## 4. Financial Position

Financially the Trust continues to have sufficient funds in reserve to cover any unexpected expenditure.

Each of the individual buildings are insured and the policies have been renewed to an adequate level of cover.

With the current level of reserve funds and the ongoing donations given by the respective Church groups, it is the expectation of the Trustees that the Trust will continue to be financially secure and able to maintain the properties in a proper manner.

5. Future Developments

External decorating at York Street is planned for 2026. Movement of the Braunstone building is being monitored.

The cause of the movement in the rear hall at Goodwood has been identified by a Structural Engineer as being due to the Eucalyptus tree in the garden behind the building.

Leicester City Council have been contacted. A resolution has not as yet been achieved.

General maintenance work at each building is carried out as and when needed to keep the buildings in good repair.
