provsion of free access to bL*h Hast'ngs Hi*ory House arml the Fishermen's Museum and the research seNte5 prov*Yed
fuffil this. The Fishermen'5 ml￿eum preseffts, records and exhibits all aspects of the Ha5tings fishing industry PH5L and
present aTKI opens dally. The Sc¢tety wlthin ts offi￿S at the Hasb"ngs History House, 21 Courthouse Stree¢ house5 an
archfve colle(tion relevBnt to the h15tory of Has)"ThJs. Thls Is orRn three (tsys a week (Jlsplawng exhlbthns of the town s
hlstory. In 2023 the History House has moved the model of a Ilfe in the l(Kal fishing communty to the Fishermen s
Museum. Both Ven￿ have staff and volunteers to answer enquiries, and offer an email aTrJ ¥%Eb SeN1￿ for the same.
DonatN)ns are encouraged. Guhled walks and tslks are organised at and from venues. We held our AGM at the
History House In June fdlowed by a talk on snlppets of l¢Jcal hlsW. The Web￿te aThJ medla preserKe continue5 to
be upjated, maintsined and much used.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMAIKE
Charltable activities
The Society continLJes to Cons￿ its collect#ins ar￿ utilise these for exhibibons, education and events. Ema51 aThJ
telephone enquities have continued a￿1 have teen answered where possible. Many Lf ￿Jr enquiries cune frrhn local
resklents interested in local history. Our walks programme continue5 to tE w)pular. Both the ￿5heM￿n.$ Museum and
the History House are SUPkW)rted by voluntsers. We held our AGM In June followed by a tslk.. Volunteers ￿tinue to
ork on Exploring History In HaS￿ng$ Cemetery - further rewrch and recordlng, updatyng the websote, answerirwJ
enquires and tsking guided walks continues. We condnue maklng representstlons on plannirvJ matters ¥there applicthle
and have a representstive on ￿ Coastal Users Groly.
