TRUSTEES REPORT The Trustees present their report and financial ststements forthe year ended 315t December 2024. Formation of the charity The charitywas founded underthe Will dated 31$ March 1672 ofthe late Godfrey Beaumont. Mr Beaumontwas a Yeoman from South Crosland. Under his Will he made certain specific devise" then. in default of his lawful issue lin the event he had none), he bequeathed the residue of his real propertyto certain named individuals upon trustto paya specified sum of money annually for ever to the poor people of South Crosland. and the Will continued (modem spellingadopted): 'And also payyearlyand everyyear forever the sum of Three pounds oflawfvl money unto the Schoolmaster of South Crosland which shall teach scholars there. from time to time, for the time being for ever. And my WIU and mind further is that the [n8med Trusteesj and their heirs and the heirs of the survivor of them shall well and trulypayyearlyand everyyear for ever the residue of the clearyeartyprofits of all[my residuaryrealtyj after their reasonable charges deducted in goingabotrt the same unto the several ministers of the Word of God at the Chapels of Meltham and Honleyin tYorkshire] and theirsuccessors for everequally to be divided between them from time to time being for ever.. Basis of Opinion My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions giv8n by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept bythe Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the Accounts. and seeking explanationsfrom you. as Trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide allthe evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the viewgiven by the Accounts.
