**Independent examiner's report on the accounts** ## **Section A Independent Examiner’s Report** **Report to the trustees** The Turnor's Almshouse Charity **On accounts for the year** 2 December 2025 **Charity no** 221315 **ended (if any) Set out on pages** 1 - 5 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **02/12/2025** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. **Independent** [The charity’s gross income exceeded £250,000 and I am qualified to **examiner's statement** undertake the examination by being a qualified member of [insert name of applicable listed body]]. _Delete_ [ ] _if not applicable._ I have completed my examination. The provision of Almshouses for poor persons of good character resident in the parish of Stoke Rochford or Easton. Achievements and Performance SORP reference The Charity continued to receive contributions from tenants of the 6 Almshouses during the period. Para 1.20 During the year, Ihe charity continued the programme of upkeep and general running costs of the Almshouses. In addition, significant repair works were undertaken lo roofing, and there were new boilers inslalled. The Almspersons ofthe Alrnshouse5 benefit from the provision of accommodation, which is available to persons meeting the charity's crrteria from the wider society. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position al the end of the period Para 1.21 Generally income is consistent with previous the year's performan￿. The cash position al Ihe year end was less than the minimur working balance due to a broad programme of repairs being required. Slalement explaining the policy for holding reserves slating why they are held Para 1.22 The Trustees endeavour to maintain sufficient revenue reserves in order to meet the future maintenance and repairs requirements. The Trustees consider that a minimum balance of £5,000 should be held in order lo meet working capital requirements, any shortfall in income or in case of unexpected expenditure.
