B) THE PROTECTION OF THE DESERVING POOR WITHIN THE SAID BOROUGH AND THEIR RELIEF IN CASES OF UNAVIODABLE MISFORTUNE OR OF EXTREME OR TEMPORARY DISTRESS. C) IN CONNECTION WITH THE WORK OF THE SAID ASSOCIATION, THE SAFEGUARDING OF THE PUBLIC AGAINST VAGRANCY AND IMPOSTURE.
