Objectives and Activltles
The primary purposes of the Charity are..
the purchase of bed linen and down pillows of the finest quality and their distributs'on to
charitable organisations which care for the sick and infirm
the provision of pensions and grants to persons employed by Sir Alec Black dunng his lifets.me
the benefit of sick. poor fishermen from the Borough of Grimsby
The secondary purpose of the Charity is for the benefit of sick poor persons resident in the Borough of
Grimsby. The ultimate purpose is for the benefit of sick poor persons resident anywhere in the United
Kingdom.
The trustees confirm they have referred to the gltidance contained in the Charity Commission's general
guidance on public benefit when reviewing the ch8rity's aims and objectives and in planning future
activities.
Achievements and Perfomiante

Financlal Roview
The trustees, policy on reserves is lo preserve capital by retaining and reInveSt￿ng the proceeds from any
income producing assets and to distribute each year the balance of income arising after provision for all
known revenue expenses.
The accounts for the year to 12 April 2025 have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis in
accordance with relevant legislation and wmprise a statement of assets and liabilities al that date
together with a receipts and payments account for the year.
There is an excess of receipts over payments for the year 8fTTrounting lo £64,581.59 which has been
added to the cash funds brought forward lo leave a balan￿ of cash funds lo carry forward at the year
end of £142.755.33.
RBC 8rewin Dolphin manage the quoted investments on a discretionary basis and provide advice to the
Iruslees. These investments have performed satisfactorily in the year.
Fees paid in the year for accountancy and administrative services lo RNS Chartered Ac¢ountanls, 8 fimi
of which S Wilson, one of the tnjslees, is an employee amounted lo £12,500 plus VAT.
J P Heeney, a partner of RNS Charte￿￿ Accountants, has continued to act as Independent Examiner
for the Charity.

I report lo the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the ch8rty for the year ended 12
April 2025 which are set out on pages 4 and 5.

As the charity's twstees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
Charrties Act 2011 {'Ihe Acl'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act
and in carrying out rny examination I have folknwed all the applieable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.

I have completed my eXaminat￿n. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
¢onneclion with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..

I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be
