The Trustees provide tenancies in the Selly Oak/Bournville district of Birmingham. In accordance with the Deed of Trust of 30 July 1949, the Trustees give priority in the allocation of tenancies to older people, with a preference to those associated with the Religious Society of Friends.

At 31 March 2024 the Trust provided 4 tenancies in 2 leasehold properties and 2 tenancies in 1 freehold property.

A surplus of £31,042 (2023: surplus of £30,980) on the General Fund account was achieved in the year. The market value of investments increased over the 12 months by £21,576 (2023: decrease of £32,729). These movements resulted in the balance on the General Fund of £652,461 at 31 March 2023 increasing to £705,079 at 31 March 2024.

All the properties meet the Government’s Decent Homes Standard.

The Trustees review the principal risks affecting the Trust on an annual basis.

The Trustees are considering the future of the Trust following the reversion of the 2 leasehold properties to Bournville Village Trust in June 2024.

We are grateful to Keith Barnes for agreeing to act as Independent Examiner.
