The aim of the Management group is to continue the objectives first stated in 1934 in maintaining the village hall to provide facilities which can be used

Trustee selection methods

for educational, social and recreational purposes for the benefit of all residents of Warslow and Elkstones parish and beyond. These facilities will be available to all persons regardless of race, sex, colour, creed and physical or mental disabilities. The management group (referred to as the Committee) consists of volunteers from within the community. The committee shall be empowered to co-opt to its membership any person(s) necessary to achieve the above aims. The committee shall appoint from its membership a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.

The Management group comply with equal opportunities and diversity. We strive to deliver a varied and diverse range of activities within the hall which promote a community spirit. Our main objective is to make the village hall the social hub of our community for everyone within the village and surrounding areas. Therefore, Warslow Village Hall seeks to involve volunteers to: 

- Ensure our events meet the needs of our community 

- Ensure the community are actively involved in Warslow Village Hall 

- • Provide opportunities for all ages of the community to develop new skills and perspectives 

- Increase our contact with more people in the community

Matches take place on a Tuesday<br>and Friday evening.|

At Warslow Village Hall we aim to cover our costs through a combination of hire fees, bar surplus and fundraising events. Additional monies enable us to purchase new equipment and to continue the upkeep of the hall. Therefore, the Management Group sought and applied for additional support from the following: 

   - Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (toilet grant). To maintain and provide public toilets all year. 

- contribution made by volunteers. 

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

The Charity acknowledges the Charities Act (2008) by ensuring the public **Summary of the main** are benefitted by promoting the voluntary sector, community developments **achievements of the charity** and providing rural opportunities for all. The facilities are available to **during the year** members of the public despite their gender, age, disability, social or economic circumstances. 

Over the course of the year, the Management Group have worked tirelessly to improve the hall and its facilities, for example: 

- Replaced fluorescent tube lighting in the main hall. 

- Purchased spring bulbs, begonias and hanging baskets for the outside planters. 

- Decorated and revamped the public toilets inc new fittings required, finger plates, toilet locks, a steel vent, toilet roll dispensers etc. 

- • Painted the outside railings, re-stained the front door and notice board. 

- New waste bins and cleaning products purchased. 

- • Purchased a new amplifier. 

- Food Hygiene Training- 3xTrustees completed. 

- • Purchased 1x new outdoor seating.
