## Activities

**Objects:** TO IMPROVE AND FURTHER THE ADVANCEMENT OF AGRICULTURE BY THE PROMOTION OF ANNUAL PLOUGHING AND HEDGING COMPETITIONS OPEN TO THE UNITED KINGDOM. TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE BY THESE COMPETITIONS HIGHER STANDARDS OF PLOUGHING THE LAND, HEDGING AND DITCHING, AND GOOD HUSBANDRY. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR PRACTICAL WORKING DEMONSTRATIONS OF NEW IMPLEMENTS AND FARM MACHINERY.

**Activities:** The objectives of the Society are to improve and further the advancement of agriculture by the promotion of its annual ploughing and hedging competitions.  It helps protect some of the rural traditions of the countryside.  We also give the opportunity for other organisations to promote themselves at our event.
