The recently refurbished Almshouses on Nottingham Road, Mansfield provide accommodation for the elderly (70+) at approximately 50% of the market rate. Grants are provided to organisations who care for or support the development of young people.
The Trustees have at all times due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on pubic benefit.

The charity is very fortunate to be in good financial standing with £500,000 invested through M & G in the National Association of Almshouses Common Investment fund. This financial year income dividends amounting to £22,344 have been received.
3 houses on Portland Street, Mansfield are rented out to give further income as are landholdings in the Mansfield area.

Grants have been made during the year to the following:- Summary of the main achievements of the charity £5,000 to the James Henry blakes Charity which provides holidays to during the year young, disadvantaged children £5,000 to the Send a Child to Hucklow fund which provides holidays at Hucklow in Derbyshire for 11 year olds from disadvantaged families in Mansfield £5,000 to Portland College, Mansfield which provides both physical and mental wellbeing to young people £2,500 to Cornwater Evergreen who provide a range of services to facilitate the wellbeing and happiness of older people £2,500 to APTCOO who provide a range of information, advice and access to a flexible and tailored range of specialist services for children and young people with specialist educational needs and vulnerable groups £2,500 to Spectrum Wasp who provide support for parents and young people on the autistic spectrum with disabilities and special needs
