Grants made for the benefit of all villagers of Scalford, Leicestershire and to individuals in this village in cases of hardship, for medical aids etc.
Objects: The Trustees May Apply Any Portion Of The Said Income Not Exceeding One-Half Thereof In Any Year In The Following Ways:1.(a) Relieving In Cases Of Need Persons Resident In The Parish Of Scalford Who Are Sick, Convalescent, Disabled,handicapped Or Infirm By Providing Or Paying For Items, Services Or Facilities Which Are Calculated To Alleviate The Suffering Or Assist The Recovery Of Such Persons In Such Cases But Are Not Readily Available To Them From Other Sources.(b) The Trustees May Make Arrangements For Such Services Or Facilities To Be Provided For That Purpose By Other Institutions Or Organisations In Return For Donadtions Or Subscriptions Out Of The Income Of The Charity.(c) In Exceptional Cases The Trustees May Grant Relief To Persons Otherwise Eligible Therefor Who Are Resident Immediately Outside The Said Parish But In The Opinion Of The Trustees Ought Nevertheless For Sufficient Reason To Be Treated As If Resident Therein Or Who Are For The Time Being Within That Parish.2(a) Relieving Either Generally Or Individually Persons Resident In The Parish Of Salford Who Are In Conditions Of Need, Hardship Or Distress By Making Grants Of Money Or Providng Or Paying For Items, Services Of Facilities Calculated To Reduce The Need, Hardship Or Distress Of Such Persons.(c) In Exceptional Cases The Trustees May Grant Relief To Persons Otherwise Elegible Therfor Who Are Resident Immediately Outside The Said Parish But In The Opinion Of The Trustees Ought Nevertheless For Sufficient Reason To Be Treated As If Resident Therein Or Who Are Located Fot The Time Being Within Tha Parish.
