Objects: To Afford Assistance To Necessitous Persons Being Members And Former Members Of The Institution Of Gas Engineers Incorporated By Royal Charter Or Of Its Unincorporated Predecessor Originally Known As The British Association Of Gas Managers And Subsequently Known As The Gas Institute Or Being A Parent Spouse Or Lineal Descendant Of Any Living Or Deceased Member Or Former Member Of The Said Institution Of Gas Engineers Or Of Its Said Unincorporated Predecessor And With A View Thereto To Acquire Take Over And Assume The Whole Or Any Part Of The Undertaking Assets And Liabilities Of The Benevolent Fund Of The Said Institution Of Gas Engineers. Provided Always That No Payment Shall Be Made Or Assistance In Money Or Moneys Worth Given To A Person Who Is For The Time Being A Member Of The Company Or Committee Of Management Or Of The Committee Of Management Or Other Governing Body Thereof Or To A Dependant Of Any Such Person
