The ThT¢ad resideney in Senega] w&s won by Georgina Sleap MRSS and Robin Tarbet MRSS was awarded the Eilean Shona residen¢y. We are delighted that the Hugo Burge Foundion residency (fonnerly Marchmont House) ￿1[ open again to members in 2024. A group of members were sele¢¢ed by th¢ curatorial tearn at Thirsk Hall to participate in a show a¢ross the sculpture garden there whieh opeDd in the sprin& And an eyhibition by international members will be held at the Royal Over-seas League in 2024. Public Art Award 2023. The winner - Madi Acharya-Baskerville MRSS - was announced at th¢ ¢nd of a symposium aboul publi¢ seulptur¢ which w&5 held in the evening aDd chaired by Fatoi Ustek. The summer show was selected and ¢UTated by ar¢hit¢¢tura] historian, designer, envtronmental campai8Ther and natural paint guru, Edward Bulmer. Thc exhibition featUTed work by ovet 50 members- with 181 attending the private view- and w&8 SUPPOrted by a lively programme of in convcr5atiou events. A small selectioll of work was also shown at Edward's paint showroom in central London. In the autumtl we once again took part in Heritage Open Days offering tours of ]J)rn House and cr¢ative family workshop5 Using the building's window5 and fircplatts as inspiration. Our p)pular Big thaw programrne return￿1 in October 2023 and we aTe grateful to the Jobn Lyons, Charity (JLC) for funding the half tenn prtsgramme. The programme in¢l￿led two Budding Brdins dropin workslK)ps, a free wild life drawing session for young people in the JLC target borough& edible sculpture WOTkshops and a collalJ)iativ¢ game workshop among other things.
