The Trustees present their report and Financial Ststements for the year ended 31 December 2023.
l. ObJe£llves ind Actfvttfjes
The objcctive of the Fund is the provision of awards, exhibitions, special prizes, bursaries and
scholarships for the purpose of education and training. The Tn￿te¢S mect three times a y¢ar
to approve the Financial Statements and consider the level of awards recommended by a sub-committee.
The Trustees hold a number of dinners each year at which awardecs are able to m¢¢t members
of a number of professions who may be able to help them in their future career.
The Fund is registered with the Charity Commissioffj registration number 212217.
2. Aehlevements aDd Flnancfial RevAew
The results for the year are shown on page 6.
The Tn￿te¢S have continued to make grdnts in furtherance of the Fund's objectives. In the year
grants totalling £48.250 were made (2022: £54.750). The Tn￿te¢S continued to introduce new Knights
and to encourage all Knights to take advantage of Gift Aid in order to maintain ¢haritable donations
lo the maximum.
The fijnds of the Charity were £191.582 at the end of the yearf2022: £185,527)
The Trustees are satisfied with the state of the Charitys affairs.

The Fund's policy is to appoint In1st￿ who have ¢xperti8¢ in identified areas of the trust's work. or general
cxp¢ri¢nce at a senior or strategic level.
Policies And pn)cedure8 for the Ind￿tion and training of trusttts
Upon appointmenl trustees are provided with the infornwtion on the way the tn￿t operates and their role and
responsibilties as chan'ty trustses. Trustees are made aware of the valuable guidanc¢ m&teria]s availablc on th¢
Charity CoMmi￿10n website and have new developnKnts drawn to their attention.
4. Investnknt Polley
The Trustees rely on the investment management of COJF and M&G to provide balanced investment
risk. In 2009, the Trustees made a general review of the Fund's investment policy in the light of the
turbulent financial conditions and were satisfied that the stattis quo should be maintsined.
S. Reserve* Pollcy
The T￿￿1¢¢$ regard the unre8tricted fund as a fund to provide income to meet the Fund's objectives and,
although they could have re¢ourse lo IL they do nol intend lo do so. Liquid funds are retained to ensure
that they are available for current years, grants.
6. Con•tltutlon, Structure. GoveniAnce and Managernent
The Knights of the Round Tablc Benevolcnt Fund was established on 29 F¢brLWy 1992 under a
D¢claration of TnLqt estsblishing the Fund as a clwitable trust.
The Fund was created by certain membeTS of the Honourable Soci¢ty of Knights of the
Round Table (a company limited by guarantee No: 829635) in order to forn￿]18e the
charitable activities administered by the So¢iely for at least the previous I1￿ years.
R¢stri¢ted Fund was created for HMS Dasher to aid their work with young people.

The Tn￿tee8 have examined the major slTategic busiM and other operational risks ￿1c￿ th¢ Fund
faces and confinn that they have taken steps to mitigate those risks as far as possible. There are regular
rneetings of the Tn￿tee5 to keep risk under conslant review.
8. Publlc Beneflt
In m¢cting the objectives the Trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Con]mission's
general guidance on public benefit and judge that all donations made meet this guidance.
9. Tru8teei' respoDslbllfitles In relltlon to the lknanclal statements
The charity trustees arc responsible for preparing a ¢n￿te¢s. annual report and financial statements
in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Stand8rds (Uniied Kingdom
Gencrally Accepied Accounting Practice).
The law requires the charity tTuslees to prepar¢ financial slatemcnts for each year which give a true
and fair view of the state of atTairs of the charitable company and of th¢ incoming resources and
application of resources, including the income and expenditur¢, of the ¢haritabl¢ company for that
