With the dissolution of the Paddin2ton Borou2h and its incorporation into the new City and Borough of Westmlnsrer various funds were ret2ined and today are invested to continue the charitable purposes that were previously administered by the borou£h of Paddington. These funds are made up of previous public funds and welfare charitles associated with the Parish churches of Paddington. This inheritance is today expressed in govefrknce" trustees being nominated by Westminster City Council and the Incumbents of Parish Churches In the old borough and today's area of benefit. In 2025 Trustees adopted the accrual-based accounting policy which means matching our expenditure to the same accounting period as income is received. The benefits of adopting this means a more accurate financial picture and compliance with UK GAAP and SORP principles. This will enhance our decision making and fund allocations. An implication of this is an increase in finance and administration costs for both the Clerking Service and the Audit Fee. the 2025 Cost being payable in 2026. In 2025 a depreciation policy for the purchase of the Charity's Laptop (purchased in 2024) was also agreed. In addition to the relief in need for immediate aid payments, welfare grants, penslons and grants to schools the following organisations were supported: At The Bus, to assist with arc session for school chiiar-:: Westminster children's University (Forest School) The Mosaic Community TrusL to support unemployed BAME mothers Real action Ltd, to assist with butterfly reading programme and exercise books.
