**Objects:** 3. Objects3.1 The objects of the Charity are, for the public benefit,:-3.1.1 to improve the breed and promote the breeding and use of English Cart Horses, more particularly the Shire Horse, and to this end to maintain a Stud Book and Grading Register in which are entered the names of all registered Shire Horses complying with conditions for the time being applied to the Charity; and3.1.2   to educate the public about the Shire Horse and the importance of preserving the breed and its heritage.

**Activities:** The Society's principle charitable objective is the improvement and promotion of English cart horses, more particularly the Shire horse and, to this end, maintaining a Stud Book in which are entered the names of all registered Shire horses complying with the conditions for the time being applied by the Society.
