The principal a¢tivity of the trust is the provision of long-temi housing for six local, needy and aged persons.

Report lo the trustees of Lord Ryche's Almshouses on the Receipts and Payments Accounts for the
year ended 31 December 2023, sel out on pages 4 to 6.
Respective responsibilities of truslees and examiner
Tlic charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the a¢counts. The charity's Iruslees Consider
that an audit is not required for this period and that an independent examination TS needed (under section
144 uf thc Charities Act 2011 (the Charitie5 Act)).
It is niy responsibility to..

follow the procedures laid down in the general Dir¢¢tions given by the Charity Commission

Basis of independent examiner'5 StatemeD¢
My exainiiiatioii was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Chariry
Coiiimission. An exaiiiination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
coinparison of the accoLEllts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of &ny iinusual
itcms or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees conceniiiig any sucl)
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audil,
ai)d consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the
report is limited lo those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In Lonnectioii wilh my examination, no matter has com¢ to my attention:
( l ) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements..

to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the
