The trustees present their report together with the accounts for the year ended 31st December 2023.
The Board of trustees have met 4 times this year. One I￿ste¢ stood dowm due to ill health reasons and a
further trustee will be Sought sn 2024. The newly appointed rector will also join the Trust in 2024..
The full na me of the charity is Sea Palling Wlth Waxham Community Trust: also known as SPWCT formerlv
called Sea Palling Poorfs Allotment.
Principal Activities..
The principal object of the Tn￿1 is for the relief of all those resident in the patish of Sea Palling with
Waxham who find the￿selveS in need, bardship or distress. In exceptional cases th¢ trust¢es have tbe
discretion to assist those wbo do not qualify as residents. All hardship belp is strictly confidetstial.
Although the illcome receivrd by the Trust may illitiaLly be used for the relief of har(tship ( governed by the
Scheme of the Charity Cotllmissioners dated I" June 1984) it also enables the Trnst to widell its use for
CoEnmunity projects such as managing the PlayiThg Field, Diamond Wood and allotments, all on trust land,
and other community projects within the parish.
Main Activities:
Banking &rrangements are witb Barclays for current accounts with on-line transactions.
Diamond Wood- a quiet area, remains popular with dog walkers. Some trees and Shrubs have been
datnagedwith ttke inclement weather, and plans ale in progress to renew where necessary. This work will be
cattied out in early 2024.
The allotments are well organise and there is a waiting list for plots. There are also tI￿ee larger agricultural
plols.
The Playing Field: the Rospa safety inspection W&) carried out in November 2022. Safety checks are carrted
out regularly by two trnstees throughout the year. GroUnd￿"Ork is carried out every Éwo ive¢ks. Tlie rope
ladder on the toddler Multiplay unit was removed as a safety precaution. Due to adverse weather tkne trustees
considered ttLe replaCe￿ent of the sand around the large Multiplay unil as sand was having to be topped up
on severdl occasions. Work commences after balf t¢m] in early 2024 to replace the sand with a more suitable
substance, with closure wbilc this is being carried out. Further work is also planned for control ot r&bbkt
inf¢station. A tnole catcher is already contracted to the trust.
The main income continues to be the revenue frorn the car park.
The trustees consider the Tri￿t is in a financially sthble position and all yearly outgoings on Trust land have
been met.

Transactions and Flnancial position
The financial statements are set out on page 6.
As stated in the introduction to this report. the trustees consider the financial performance by the
charity during the year to have been satisfactory.
The Statement of Financial Activitles shows net surplus of resources for the year of £30.235.

Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
Charity Law requires the Board to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true
and fair view of the State of affair5 of the charity as at the end of the financial year and of the surplus or
def icit of the charity. In preparing those financial statements the Board is required to-_
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.

prepare the fina ncial statements on the going corncern basis unless
it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.

The trustees are also responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and which are sufficient tci show
and explain the charitf s tran5attions and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply
with regu lations made under the Charities Act. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of
the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
The trustees are also responsible for the contents of the trustees, report, and the responsibility of the
independent examiner in relation to the trustees. report is limited to examining the report and
ensuring that on the face of the report, there are no inconsistencie5 Wlth the figures disclosed in the
financial statements.

Respectlve responsibilitles of trLEStees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charitW5 trustees consider
that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Actl and
that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to..
examine the accounts under section L45 of the Charities Att,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission
(under section 1451Sllbl, of the Charities Act) and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of independent examinerfs report
My exarrination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Cornmission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and see'rting explanations from the trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit,
and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fairf, view and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In conr)ection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me cause to believe
that in, any material respect,.

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records: or
