The purposes of the charity are the relief In sickness of needy persons and such other charitable purposes as the Trustee5 think fit. The initlal funding ofthe charity wa5 provided by the sale of the property and land known as Morris Grange which was operated by the North Yorkshire County Branch of the British Red Cross Society, as a holiday home. TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES= The Trustees are required under the Charities Act 1993 to prepare financial statements for each financial year which 8ive a true and fair view of the state of the charivs financial activities durlng the vear and of its financial position at the end of the year. In preparing those financlal statements. the trustees are required to follow best practice and,. selert suitable accounting pollcles and then apply them conslstently. make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent, stste whether applicable accounting standards and ststements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements, prepare the financial statements on the 8oin8 concem basls unless It is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in operation.
