The charity constitutes a public benefil entity as defIned by FRS 102. Income Income is received by way of donation5 and gifts atKI is included in full in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity has entitlement to the funds. Value Added Tax The Society is a partially exempt body for VAT pury￿SeS. Expenditure subject to VAT, which is not recoverable, is shown inclusive of VAT in the financial statements. Tangible FIX￿ Assets Depreciation is pmvided at rat&8 calculated to write off the cost of each asset over ils expected us¢ful lif¢. as follows: Equipment 200/0 on reducing balance Stocks Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value.
