The chartty Is constituted and governed by a Schema of ttie 8° April 1971 and an Order
dated 9th August 2006.
Trustees are nomlnated by the Parish Coundl a￿1 other organisatlons linked with the
d￿rity'S interests and are appointed by the existing tnjstees.
Objectlvos and actlvltle$
The charity's prinapal obj'ect is to prowde a ￿1 allowancè to p8nsion8rs, widows and poor
persons r8sident in the parish of East Ruston. If the charity's income is surplus for this
purpos8 it Is avallable for spe(ial he￿ for chlbjren in the village and also for feliemng, elther
generally or individually, persons resident in the paflsh of East Ruston are in conditions
of ne￿1, hardship or di6tr88S.
Achlev8mènts
The Trustees report last year start&J wtth ow concem regarding the flooding on South Fen,
what a differenc8 a year can mak8. Whilsigrdzing was not possibl8 during 2024, hop8fully
2025 wlll See grazing return. Drainage wcxk has been done In preparation for the grazlng.
The Conservatlon Volunteers have conllnued to maintain areas of the common that have
already been cjeared as well as cutting gorse on nthy areas.
P8t8r Frfzzell has continued to control any Japane88 Kn(Awee on the (￿mMOn by th8 Council
houses.
East Ruston Parish Coundl re-elected Mr Heath Brooks and Mr John McL8od as their
representattve Trustees.
A new contractor was InStru￿ed to trtm dl the hedges surrounding the '(x¥nmon° and the
trustees are very pleased with the work.
The Trustees conunue to swjwt East Ruston Primary sthool by renting bhe area behlnd ihe
schr)ol for woodland adivities.
A panto trip was organis&J for thildren fron the vlllage but unfortunatety it was later
discover8d that, unbeknown to the derk, people from wlside the village had rnanag￿ lo
obtain tickets. Steps have been takento ensure thls d08s not happ￿ again.
The T￿￿teeS a3ain Sponsor￿ a Christsnas meal in th8 Village Hall f￿ those eligibl8.
37 cheques of £45 were issued bef(*e Christmas.

The charily's principal income arises from the rent of land for grazing, agriculture and
sporting rights together wilh land related grants from the Rural Payments Agency.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the ac￿Unts of the above
charity (llhe Trusf) for the year ended 31 March 2025.

As the charitys trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
a¢￿Unt$ In ac￿rdanCe wlth the requlremants of the Charltles Act
2011 ('the Acr).
I report in respect of my examina￿n of the Trust's aco)unts carried
out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my
examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145{5)(b) of the Act.
Independenl examlnovs statement
l am qualified to undertake the examination by belng a qualified
member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
I have completed my examinatlon. I confirm that no materfal matters
have come to my attention in connection with the examination whlch
glves me cause to belleve that in, any material respect:
the accountlng records were not kept In acAx)rdanc8 with
section 130 of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting recortls: or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
