**Objects:** (1) SUBJECT TO THE PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES AFORESAID THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN RELIEVING EXPECTANT AND NURSING MOTHERS RESIDENT IN THE BOROUGH OF BARROW-IN-FURNESS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. (2) IF AND SO FAR AS THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IS NOT REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION AFORESAID THEN THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY THE SAME IN RELIEVING IN CASES OF NEED CHILDREN OF PRE-SCHOOL AGE WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED OR INFIRM.

**Activities:** The relief of expectant and nursing mothers resident in the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness who are in conditions of need, hardship, or distress. Any income not required for this purpose may be applied in relieving, in cases of need, pre-school age children who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm.
