Objo¢tlve$ and activiti8s
Maln Activitlgs
The chartrty was founded in 1911 to promote the Christian message and teaching amongst teens and
twenties in accordance with the Basis of Faf(h contained in the governing document as well as lo
encourage them to share that m9ssage with others. This remains as our main aim today and all activitie8
are f¢xussed on that goal.
The local branches meet on a weekly basis when a varied Bible based program is held focusing on a
specrfi¢ theme. Most branches also hold periodic evangelist￿ evonls.
Al area level "Speakouls" are held when young pgople from the branches gather in a number of cf(ies
around the UK lo engage in even15 to take the Christian message to the goneral popuLgce. The areas
also hokj a weekend away when people from the branches and their friends are tsughl biblical truth as
well as hear and exchange ideas about the worf( both loealty and nationalty.
YL Holidays hokl weeks of aclmty holidays during the summer months for young people aged betsveen
10 and 18. Each day stsrt$ wf(h a biblical message. Tho holidays are very popular with most venues
fvlly booked each yeai.
Publlc Bangfft Statement
The Charsty's public leaching is based on the message of the Bible. This is at r¢)Ot a message of
forgiveness and grxe that offers hope and meaning lo young people and is as relevant as ever.
Promoting Christian teaching and ethics brings a wder benefit lo so¢￿ty as a whole. For example
the Biblical command lo love one's neighbour as oneself encourages care for those in need and
positive contribution lo public life.
The Charity seeks lo developloadership and organi$*ional skills among young peopk. Such skills
can be used in many contexts.
Both the weekty branch meetings and the summer camps help to build relationships and mutual
support among young people. In a society experiencing fragmentation and isolation, these
onnections will prove invaluable for years to come.
Volunt••rs
All this a¢lNity would not be possible wthout the many volunteers who give so unslintingty and
genero*J$ty of their time and resource$ and the Direclots would like lo record their deep and heartfelt
appreciation lo them all.

Achievomonts and p•rfomi•nce
Wa remain convinced of the continuing relgvance of the Christlan message that fomis the basis of the
charty's aclwilies. Wo are grateful for the hard work of staff and volunteers in maintaining activities, and
trust that God will brin9 blessing. Some highlights are listed belcw.
Branches foll¢)wed a regular pattern ofweekly or fOrtnigh￿Y in person meelings, maintaining regular
Bible teaching and fellowship.
A week of prayer was held earty in March with daily prayer meetings via Zoom.
We were able to run our holiday weeks a$ planned, including one new venue. and these were very
well received.
Other actwrties Such as schools work and street evangelism have continued.

2024. arrangements have been made for French, Gemi8n and Polish translations.
'Rooled', a weekend away for young people, took place in February. Over 175 people gathered in
staffordshire for Bible teaching. fellowship and activities.
Financlal revlew
Th& financk?I results for the F)eriod under revie•V have been consistent with the plans and f(￿$1$
prepared by the Directors, albeit not all the usual holidays operated. The Directors consider that should
the charty's operating cireumslances remain the same then the forthcoming financial pariod will produce
similar resutts. There are no funds malerially in deficit.
R￿¢￿eS Pollcy
The Directors consider that 8 free reserve sum 8ufficient to cover three months. expenditure is the
minimum required and as at the dale of this report this is exceeded. Additionalty, most ofthe investments
are available on less than a month's notice.
Financlal Support
We are grateful lo our supporters who have funded 70% of our operating costs with the balance coming
from investments.
Invostmont Powern and Rgstrictiony
Funds not immediatety required are invested in such investments as the Directors deem appropriate
with aifvice being sought from lime to time from qualffied investment managers. Th& primary factor in
these decisions is the provision of income wi(h little or no capttal depreciation. Currently the funds are
held in unilised investments which are Mar￿99￿ according lo our primary consideration.
Safeguardlng and Rlsk Managèment
There have been no safeguarding issues reported during the year.
