## Activities

**Objects:** TO FURTHER THE KNOWLEDGE OF ALPINE PLANTS; TO GATHER AND DISSEMINATE PARTICULARS OF THEIR CULTIVATION AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THEY GROW IN NATURE; TO HOLD SOWS OF ALPINE PLANTS AND GIVE ADVICE CONCERNING THEM; TO ARRANGE TOURS AND VISITS; TO ORGANISE MEETINGS; AND GENERALLY TO UNDERTAKE IN ACTIVITIES THAT SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE SOCIETY IS CONSTITUTED.

**Activities:** To promote an interest in all aspects of alpine plants, their cultivation in rock gardens and plant conservation in natural habitats.  We are a membership organisation, publish a quarterly Journal for members, operate a seed exchange, make awards available for horticultural study, operate botanical tours for members to see plants in their natural habitats and publish alpine plant information.
