Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015) and the Charities Act 2011.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

Theobjectivesofthecharityaretomeetthepastoralandspiritualneedsofthoseofallfaithsandnone,whoareengagedin the
performing arts.

Public benefit

Thecharity'sBoardofTrusteesconfirmthattheyhavecompliedwiththedutyinsection17(5)oftheCharitiesActtohave regard
totheCharityCommission'sgeneralguidanceonpublicbenefits'CharitiesandPublicBenefit'.Thecharitablepurposesof Theatre
Chaplaincy(UK)aresetoutinitsconstitutionandtheobjectsareachievedthroughsupportingmembersofthe theatrical
professions in theatres and online.

Financial position

Asummaryoftheincomeandexpenditurefortheyearisshowninthestatementoffinancialactivitiesandthefinancial position
is shown on the balance sheet.

Reserves policy

TheBoardofTrusteesseekstomaintainalevelofreservessufficienttocoverthenormaloperatingcostsastheyfalldueand any
contingencies which may arise.
Details of the amounts of reserves held are given in the notes to the accounts.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

Thecharitablecompanywasincorporatedasacompanylimitedbyguaranteeon28July1926andisgovernedby its
memorandumandarticlesofassociation.Itwasregisteredasacharityon22September1962.Managementofthe charitable
company'saffairsisvestedinitsBoardofTrustees,membersofwhichareregardedastrusteesofthecharityandalso as
directors of the charitable company.

Induction and training of new trustees

NewTrusteesareinvitedtomeetwiththeChairoftheBoardofTrusteestodiscussthecurrentoperationsofthecharityand the
plansforthefuturedevelopment.NewTrusteesarealsogiventhedetailsoftheregulatorsofthecharity(CompaniesHouse and
theCharityCommissionforEnglandandWales)sothatiftheyhaveanyconcernsthattheydonotwishtoreporttotheChair of
Trustees, they can inform the suitable regulator directly.
New Trustees are encouraged by the Chair to attend all meetings and events organised by the charity.
NewTrusteesareinvitedtomeetwiththeHonoraryTreasurerwhowillbriefthemonthefinancialaspectsofthecharity including
therangeandamountsofincome,expenditure,assetsandliabilities.TheywillthenbegiventhelatestReportand Financial
Statement. It is also explained that Trustees have access to the financial records of the charity.
NewTrusteesareadvisedtoacquaintthemselveswiththeCharityCommissionwebsiteandespeciallytheareasthatdeal with
the duties and responsibilities of being a charity Trustees and how to raise concerns over the operation of the charity.

Risk management

TheBoardofTrusteeshasexaminedthemajorstrategic,businessandoperationalriskswhichthecharitablecompanyfaces and
confirmthatappropriatecontrolshavebeenestablishedtoenableregularreportstobeproducedsothatnecessarystepscan be
taken to lessen these risks.

Thetrustee'sareresponsibleforpreparingtheReportoftheTrusteesandthefinancialstatementsinaccordancewith applicable
lawandUnitedKingdomAccountingStandards(UnitedKingdomGenerallyAcceptedAccountingPractice)including Financial
Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland".
Companylawrequiresthetrusteestopreparefinancialstatementsforeachfinancialyearwhichgiveatrueandfairviewof the
stateofaffairsofthecharitablecompanyandoftheincomingresourcesandapplicationofresources,includingtheincome and
expenditure, of the charitable company for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to
- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
-preparethefinancialstatementsonthegoingconcernbasisunlessitisinappropriatetopresumethatthecharitable company
will continue in business.
Thetrusteesareresponsibleforkeepingproperaccountingrecordswhichdisclosewithreasonableaccuracyatanytime the

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Theatre Chaplaincy UK ('the Company')

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2024.

Responsibilities and basis of report

Asthecharity'strusteesoftheCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesofcompanylaw)youareresponsiblefor the
preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006Actand are
eligibleforindependentexamination,Ireportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccountsascarriedoutunder Section
145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').IncarryingoutmyexaminationIhavefollowedtheDirectionsgivenbythe Charity
Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner's statement

Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwiththe examination
giving me cause to believe:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,havebeen prepared
inaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statementof Recommended
PracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicable in
theUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'The Financial
ReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andtheCompaniesAct2006.Thefinancial statements
havebeenpreparedunderthehistoricalcostconvention,withtheexceptionofinvestmentswhichareincludedat market
value, as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.
Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest of £1. The presentation currency is £ sterling.

Financial reporting standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions

Thecharitablecompanyhastakenadvantageofthefollowingdisclosureexemptioninpreparingthese financial
statements, as permitted by FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland':

Income

AllincomeisrecognisedintheStatementofFinancialActivitiesoncethecharityhasentitlementtothefunds,it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
All voluntary income and subscriptions are included in income upon receipt.
Donationsunderdeedsofcovenanttogetherwiththeassociatedincometaxrecoveryarerecognisedasincomewhen the
donation is received.
The income from fundraising ventures is shown gross, with the associated costs included in fundraising expenditure.
Other income is accounted for on a receivable basis.

Expenditure

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommittingthecharity to
thatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredinsettlementandtheamountof the
obligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccrualsbasisandhasbeenclassified under
headingsthataggregateallcostrelatedtothecategory.Wherecostscannotbedirectlyattributedtoparticular headings,
they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.

Tangible fixed assets

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Fixtures and fittings- 10% on cost
Computer equipment- 33% on cost
Depreciation is charged in full in the year of purchase.

Taxation

The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.

Fund accounting

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthecharity.Restrictions arise
when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
