## Trustees Report 

2021 

The Trustees are pleased to announce that all 5 flats at Almshouses were fully occupied for the year ending December 2021 

In 2016 they undertook a Quinquennial Survey to review the condition of the listed Grade 11* Building, the report showed that considerable works were required for the roof and chimneys which resulted in the Trustees in 2018 looking for finance to enable them to go out for tenders. The obvious place to look for capital was the Heritage Trust, this proved fruitless, as they did not consider our application would attract their support. 

Their next move was to use local radio and open days looking for support, this was curtailed because of Covid. The Trustees determined to deliver their commitment  looked at financing the largest project seen at the Almshouses for some hundred years by using their own but small investments together with borrowing drawing down capital invested in the Charities ERF together with reserves in their bank business account. 

The work has now commence after the restrictions were lifted, they are looking for the completion in September this year 2022.
