The Board of Trustees meets a minimum of four times a year and are responsible for the strategic aims of the trust, sets the maintenance charge and has overall responsibility for the finances and management of the premises.
Aims
To provide Almshouse accommodation for up to 10 persons of good character who have lived in or have significant connections to Bisham, Great Marlow or Marlow Parishes (or have immediate family living in the said parishes) and are aged 60 or over. To maintain the fabric of the building and environs for the residents.
The accommodation offered is a bed-sitting room with kitchen and toilet. There is a bathroom and separate shower room on each of the two floors, a communal lounge and kitchen with laundry facilities.
Achievements:
The board have been working towards the refurbishment of the residents accommodation and common areas. The corridors, stair wells, lounge have all been uplifted and a new stair lift installed to one of the staircases . Plans are being drawn up to convert the current bedsitting rooms into either self contained one bedroom flats or studio flats with their own shower facility.
In order to increase the charity's income, the Trust rents out the former Wardens two bedroom flat the commercial market.
All general maintenance and repair work has been completed as planned during the year. A donation of a large format TV and art pictures together with a volunteer day
of manual labor was provided by members of the Marlow office of Laurent Perrier.

REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER TO THE TRUSTEES OF OXFORD LANE ALMSHOUSES CHARITY (Registered charity number 205436) I report on the accounts of Oxford Lane Almshouses Charity for the year ended 31 March 2024, which are set out on pages 2 and 3. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. You as the charity's trustees consider that an audit 15 not required for the year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 but that an Independent examination is needed under se¢lon 145111 of the 2011 Act. It Is my responsibillty.. To examlne the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act To follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charlty Commlssioners under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act,. and To state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examiners Report My examlnation was carried out In accordance with the General Directions given by the Charitv Commissloners, An examlnation includes a review of the accounting record5 kept by the charity and comparlson of the accounts presented wlth those records. It 3150 Includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosure5 in the accounts, and seeking explonatlons from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair" view and the report Ss limited to those matter5 set out in the statement below.
